How does Pretty Links work
If you want another way to track how many clicks and conversions
a specific link is getting, we have added the ability to track links using
parameters easily. The Pretty Link Tracking feature is located under the
Redirects settings page, where you can enter any affiliate link with a unique
tracking name like ‘commission.’

Links is a link cloaking tool to create cleaner link text to establish trust
from an audience. You can make a pretty Link from your domain or landing page
to another site using a URL with a question mark. To create a pretty Link you
would enter the Site's URL, the Title of the destination Page and finally the
destination URL. You can easily make your affiliate links look better by using
pretty links. Pretty links allow you to create eye catching, easy to remember
and visually appealing URLs for all of your affiliate marketing campaigns.
There is no difference between a cloaked link and a pretty Link, both are
simply links with textual information on them. The only difference is the usage
of Pretty Links which can be used to make links easier for users to remember or
more attractive visually. However, it is important to note that if you use
Pretty Links as a link cloaking technique it will not be beneficial since
Google can tell when you are using Pretty Links to hide the destination URL.
How do i set up Pretty Links
Pretty Links is a simple and easy-to-use
WordPress plugin with a clean interface.
To get started, you’ll need to
install the plugin on your WordPress

After the plugin is installed on
your site, you’ll need to activate the plugin license. Visit Pretty Link » Activate Pro from your WordPress
dashboard and enter your plugin license.
Now that you’ve activated your plugin license, you can go ahead and review the plugin’s settings by visiting Pretty Link » Options.
The first option, General, allows you to add a substitute URL for your site. If you have another domain that points to your WordPress install, you can activate this option by putting a check there.
After each option item, there’s
a quick info sign where you can click to learn more
about what the option allows you to do.
The second option, Links, allows you to configure your default link options.
You can choose a default redirection
type, enable tracking, enable nofollow, specify slug character count, enable
Google Analytics, and more from this option. To enable Google Analytics, you’ll need to have either MonsterInsights or
Google Analyticator installed on your site.

Creating Your Pretty

Links gives you full control over each link you create.Pretty Links gives you
all the facilities to create links, below we will name the steps to follow:
1.
Click the “Add New Link” tab of the plugin. You can also add a
link via the “Add Link” link. There is also a new feature that
allows us to create a new link while in visual editor mode when creating a new
post or page.
2. Configure the features:
- Pretty
Links: edit how your Pretty Links will appear, creating your
own or either leaving the Pretty Links bar generated.
- Redirection: type of redirection you
want.
- Destination
URL: This
is the URL your Pretty Links will be redirected to.
3. Add a title and / or notes to your Pretty Links for your own management needs.
Using this tool is relatively
easy. Anyone who knows the WordPress user interface can use this plugin. You
don’t need coding skills to use this plugin to manage your links like a pro.
